RPD investigating Wellington Ave shooting

Rochester, N.Y. – The Rochester Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place late Saturday evening on Wellington Avenue in Rochester.
Officers say a private vehicle transported a 30-year-old woman from Rochester to Strong Memorial Hospital after she had been shot at least once in her lower body.
Medical personnel said the victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
