Defense: Accused Rochester Man Involved in Capitol Riot Willing to Accept Plea Deal
The Rochester man charged with allegedly taking part in the riot at the Capitol Building on January 6th is open to a plea deal, according to his defense.
Dominic Pezzola pleaded not guilty to nearly a dozen charges including assault and conspiracy. He’s accused of stealing a riot shield from capitol police and smashing a window at the capitol building.
In a motion filed by his defense, Pezzola seeks to make amends and accept responsibility.
Pezzola faces up to twenty years in prison if convicted.
He’s due back in court next month.
