One charged after double-stabbing, brandishing knife at officers

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 40-year-old city woman has been charged with assault after two people were stabbed in the City of Rochester on Tuesday.
According to the Rochester Police Department, officers responded to Driving Park Avenue shortly after 2:30 p.m. for the reported stabbing. There, they found a 36-year-old city woman and 40-year-old city man suffering from lacerations.

The following investigation ultimately led to the home of the suspect, who opened the door brandishing a knife at officers. Officers were able to de-escalate the situation and the woman put the knife down before being taken into custody.
Both victims were brought to the hospital where they were evaluated and treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
