Four taken into custody after police chase, crash

Rochester, N.Y. – Rochester Police say they took four people into custody following a car chase in the city.

Around 2 a.m. police say they saw a gray Kia SUV on the road that had been recently stolen in a gunpoint robbery.

When they tried to pull the vehicle over, the vehicle and those inside fled from police.

Police say they chased it before the vehicle stopped on Magee Avenue and all inside the vehicle exited and tried to flee.

The car was left in gear, which caused it to roll into the front bumper of another car.

Police were able to track down and take all four suspects into custody. The four are described as a 19-year-old female and three males – ages 15, 14 and 13.

Police say each suspect was issued an appearance ticket for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Two of the minors have been released into parents’ custody.
