Five 17-years-old teen moved to Monroe County Jail

Rochester, New York — After a melee over the weekend,  five teen offenders were moved to the Monroe County Jail on Monday at the request of the county.
In the Saturday’s fight at the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center in Rush four deputies were injured.
Monroe County got approval from the State Office of Children and Family Services and the State Commission of Correction to move the youth offenders involved in the fight.
According to the county reports all five offenders are 17 years old. Three are charged with first-degree robbery and two of them are charged with murder.
The teens will be housed away from other inmates, in a special section of the jail.
