Six occupants evacuated due to apartment fire in Shortsville

Shortsville, New York – According to the officials report,  Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and two fire departments responded to an apartment fire late Saturday evening in Shortsville on West Main Street.
Six occupants were evacuated  from the building and deputies said that the upstairs apartment was deemed inhabitable.
Officials believe that the fire was caused by an accident but the investigation remains ongoing.
The Manchester and the Shortsville Fire Departments responded to the fire. The American Red Cross assisted the upstairs tenants with housing.
