Local counties receive grant to support emergency response operations
Albany, New York — On Friday Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that local counties will be receiving money grant from the state for improving emergency response operations.
According to Gov. Cuomo the state has awarded $10 million in aid to local counties to help make support to their 911 response and emergency service dispatch operations.
Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates are among 57 counties who will get a part of the $10 million dollar grant.
The money can be used on technology upgrades, day-to-day expenses, and new services like text-to-9-1-1 messaging.
