Four injured in multiple-vehicle crash on Dewey Avenue

Rochester, New York – On Wednesday a man with his car caused a multiple-vehicle crash on Dewey Avenue.
According to Rochester Police, around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, they were on patrol when they came across a four-car crash scene at the intersection of Emerson Street and Dewey Avenue.
Officers determined a Ford SUV was moving north on Dewey Avenue before it crossed into the southbound lane and struck an oncoming sedan with 2 passengers.
The SUV then rolled over and struck another separate sedan which was also carrying two people.
All four people inside both struck cars were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the police, a 38-year-old man from the City of Rochester was driving the SUV, who was charged with Driving While Intoxicated along with other traffic violations at the scene.
Dewey Avenue was shut down temporarily for the investigation but has since reopened.
