Plunging into Lake Ontario for charity at the Rochester Polar Plunge

Lake Ontario, New York – On Sunday many warm-hearted individuals took the plunge on the shores of Lake Ontario for charity.
According to officials, the Rochester Polar Plunge, which benefits Special Olympics New York, had over 1,000 registered participants this year, and $200,000 was raised.
The plungers jumped into the nearly frozen lake waters and raised money by asking friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances for donations.
According to officials, the Rochester Polar Plunge is one of the largest, most popular, and profitable fundraisers for Special Olympics New York.
