St. Peter’s Kitchen looks back on 40 years of community service

Rochester, New York — 40 years ago St. Peter’s Kitchen started with a Saturday hot lunch program and now is looking back on 4 decades of feeding the community.
The program now offers more than just hot meals Monday through Friday. It has a pantry for hungry families to take food home.
St. Peter’s also connects those in need with services ranging from addiction help to housing.
“I can’t say enough good things about St. Peter’s,” Director Patricia Lorenzen said. “We have volunteers who still come out. It’s just been amazing.
According to St. Peter’s, demand for food services has gone down over the past few decades, but there is still a significant need.
