A man was clinging to life early Saturday after he was repeatedly shot during a Brooklyn carjacking, police said.
The victim was sitting behind the wheel of his car on Sheffield Ave. near Linden Blvd. in East New York about 4:30 a.m. when two men came up and pulled a gun on him, cops said.
The duo demanded his cash and wallet, which the victim quickly gave up. The two then demanded his car.
The victim either refused to hand over his keys or was moving to slowly for the thieves, who blasted him twice in the chest before running off.
EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale Medical Center, where he remained in extremely critical condition Saturday.
The victim was not identified. It also wasn’t immediately clear what he was doing on that stretch of Sheffield Ave. — which is mostly warehouses — that early in the morning on a Saturday.
No arrests have been made.
Cops on Saturday were scouring the area looking for surveillance footage that can help them identify the shooters.
