A sultry summer weekend

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Slow-moving thunderstorms from Friday will fizzle with the loss of daytime heating, leaving us with a partly cloudy sky overnight, and another warm and muggy night.

Temperatures will have a hard time dropping out of the 70s for a 3rd straight night, and we have more to go. The weekend as a whole will be the hottest of the summer, with air temperatures likely in the lower 90s on both days, and dew points in the upper 60s and lower 70s making it feel more like the mid-90s.

As far as rain chances go, the majority of the weekend will be dry, but each afternoon will feature the chance for a few pop-up thunderstorms.
