Teen killed, man wounded in shooting on NYC street

A teen was fatally shot and another man was wounded on a Queens street Sunday evening, police said.

Tysheem McDonald, 18, and a 24-year-old man were on 148th Ave. near 231st St. in Brookville when gunfire rang out at about 6:15 p.m., cops said.

McDonald was shot once in the chest.

Medics rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, but he could not be saved, police said.

Later, a 24-year-old man made his way to the same hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. He is expected to recover, cops said.

McDonald lived in Springfield Gardens about a mile and a half away from where he was killed.

There were no immediate arrests.
