Pedestrian, 45, critically hurt by Queens hit-and-run driver

A 45-year-year-old man crossing a Queens street early Tuesday was left clinging to life after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver, police said.

The victim was hit as he crossed Roosevelt Ave. near 76th St. in Elmhurst about 2 a.m.

A black car, possibly a Honda sedan, was seen speeding off, cops said.

The victim is in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital.
