Two dead after colliding with an ATV into a tractor-trailer in Queens

On Friday morning in Queens, two men on an ATV collided with a tractor-trailer, killing both riders, authorities said.

A police source said that the victims, both in their 30s, may have been fleeing from law enforcement.

The fatal accident happened in Long Island City at around 1:50 a.m. at the crossroads of Queens Plaza South and Jackson Avenue.

The victims may have been traveling in the wrong direction, according to the police.

Both were pronounced dead, one at the spot and the other at New York-Presbyterian Queens.
