Gary Busey charged with sex-related offences following a New Jersey horror convention

Following his attendance at a horror movie convention in New Jersey, actor Gary Busey has been charged with several sex-related offences.

According to a post on the Cherry Hill Police Department’s Facebook page, Busey, who is 78 years old, was charged with one count each of harassment, attempted criminal sexual contact, and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

“It was about contact. It was about touching,” a Cherry Hill officer said, adding that the department got “multiple complaints.”

According to the police, the offences took place at the Monster-Mania horror film convention. The event took place at the DoubleTree Hotel in Cherry Hill from the 12th to the 14th of August. Busey attended each and every one of the three days.

Busey’s role as the title character in 1978’s “The Buddy Holly Story” got him a nomination for an Oscar. In addition to that, he is also famous for his minor roles in a number of films, such as “Point Break,” “Lethal Weapon,” and “Rookie of the Year.”

In a motorcycle accident that took place in 1988, he suffered a fractured skull, which ultimately led to brain damage.
