Hamlin Beach State Park is supported by an organization called the Friends of Hamlin Beach State Park (FOHBSP), whose members enjoy themselves while contributing to the park’s maintenance. Friends help in many ways, such as through educational and fun activities, work days, and promoting the park.
They love participating in a variety of activities in the park as a group, such as constructing and maintaining gardens, maintaining trails, monitoring bird populations, creating craft kits for campers, supporting programs put on by the park, assisting at the museum, and helping to guide projects for “I Love my Park Day.”
Anyone interested in learning more about the FOHBSP is invited to attend the organization’s meeting , which will take place in Shelter 5 in Area 4 on Wednesday, September 14, at 6:30 p.m.
Send an email to [email protected] or follow the group on Facebook at Facebook.com/FOHBSP if you are interested in meeting new people and giving back to Hamlin Beach State Park.
