Suspect in California serial murders arrested by authorities
A man who is accused of carrying out six murders in a cold-blooded manner was taken into custody early on Saturday morning in California when he was “out looking” for another victim, according to the police.
Police were able to positively identify Wesley Brownlee, age 43, as the individual responsible for the shooting deaths of five people in Stockton and one person in Oakland.
Around 2:00 in the morning on Saturday, Brownlee was taken into custody. According to the police, a number of his victims were murdered around that time of the day.
“We watched his patterns and determined early this morning, he was on a mission to kill,” Stockton police chief Stanley McFadden said. “He was out hunting.”

Between July 8 and September 27, a total of five people were murdered in Stockton. On September 30th, the police announced that they were searching for a serial murderer. After making that statement, the police received dozens upon dozens of tips on possible leads.
Brownlee was also linked by investigators to a deadly shooting that took place in April 2021 in Oakland, which is located around 60 miles to the west. During the same month, he is also thought to have tried to kill a woman in the city of Stockton.
The woman who survived the assault said that her assailant did not even talk to her while he was attempting to murder her. None of the other victims were beaten or robbed throughout the incident.
