15-year-old Raleigh shooting suspect killed brother first

According to the statements made by police on Thursday, the 15-year-old suspect in the recent mass shooting in Raleigh began the attack by murdering his older sibling.

On October 13, Austin Thompson fatally shot and stabbed his brother James, who was 16 years old, before abandoning his corpse in their home in the Hedingham district of Raleigh, according to a report that the Raleigh Police Department sent to the city manager of Raleigh.

Thompson is under 18, so the police didn’t name him as the suspect. However, his parents did in an emotional letter that came out on Tuesday.

According to the complaint, law enforcement officers spotted the boy around 90 minutes after he began firing his weapon. According to the authorities, after Thompson had murdered his brother, he then proceeded to shoot and kill Nicole Connors, 52, an off-duty Raleigh police officer named Gabriel Torres, 29, Mary Marshall, 34, and Susan Karnatz, 49. According to the authorities, he also murdered Connors’ dog.
