Woman injured in an unprovoked attack at a NYC subway station, suspect sought

On Wednesday, police said that a 22-year-old woman was pushed down a flight of stairs in an unprovoked incident at a subway station in Queens.

At 5:20 a.m., the victim was waiting on the elevated 82nd Street/Jackson Heights station platform for a northbound No. 7 train. On Sunday, a random stranger approached her, according to police.

The crazy attacker hit her in the face several times before pushing her down the stairs to the mezzanine.

While she was lying at the foot of the steps, the cruel man hurled a bag at her that she had dropped.

He left the injured young woman at the station and departed.

She was sent to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment of injuries to her left knee, back, and right hand, according to the police.

Her back was diagnosed with a compression fracture.

On Wednesday, police published a photograph of the suspect and appealed for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
