Machete-wielding man who attacked his doctor shot by police

According to sources inside the police department, officers in Brooklyn shot and injured a man wielding a machete on Tuesday after he attacked his doctor.

According to reports, the man, who is thirty years old, struck his therapist while she was working at her office on Court Street in Downtown Brooklyn before he ran away with his machete in tow.

They stated that officers from the neighborhood’s 84th Precinct had alerted the 75th Precinct in East New York, which is the precinct where the suspect resides.

According to sources and authorities, the guy was apprehended by the police at around 4:30 p.m. outside of his residence on New Lots Avenue near Snediker Avenue in East New York, where he was carrying the blade at the time.

The guy was approached by a lieutenant, who demanded that he put down the weapon, but the suspect ignored the lieutenant and surged at the officer.

The individual was struck by both of the shots that the lieutenant fired from his pistol.

According to authorities with the FDNY and others familiar with the situation, he was transported by medical personnel to Brookdale Hospital, where it is anticipated that he will recover.

According to the authorities, the suspect does not have any past arrests.
