A local not-for-profit bird of prey facility is setting up for their silent auction

A local nonprofit bird of prey sanctuary is gearing up for its upcoming silent auction, scheduled to commence this week.

Commencing on Monday, Wild Wings, situated within the confines of Mendon Ponds Park, will kickstart its silent auction. According to organizers, the proceeds generated from this auction will be dedicated to supporting the animals under the sanctuary’s care.

The Wild Wings sanctuary, as stated on their event page, provides a haven for permanently injured birds of prey, including eagles, hawks, and owls. Additionally, the organization extends its compassionate care to over twenty species of small mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.

Organizers are emphasizing that the core objective of the auction, as well as the sanctuary itself, is to ‘promote environmental stewardship through educational programs featuring our animal ambassadors.’

The silent auction is scheduled to commence on Monday, September 25th, at 8 a.m. and will conclude on Friday, September 29th, at 8 p.m.
