Authorities looking for six assailants who stabbed a teen on a subway platform
Six masked assailants wearing hoodies are sought for assaulting and stabbing a youngster at a subway station in Midtown Manhattan.
At around 4:20 p.m., the perpetrators confronted the 17-year-old victim. They were wearing a dark-colored hooded coat with a similar line across their chest. On Saturday, he was at the E. 53rd St. station waiting for an uptown No. 6 train, according to the police.
According to police, they beat and kicked the boy in the head and body, then one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed him many times.
The police suspect that the victim knew his assailants.
The suspects fled by running out onto the street. The adolescent was transported in stable condition to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell. According to police, he required many staples to repair his wounds.
On Sunday, police published CCTV video of the suspects and asked for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating them.
