Greece police investigate after two people found dead inside Fetzner Square apartment

Greece, New York – Greece police are actively investigating after two people were found dead inside an apartment at Fetzner Square following a welfare check Monday evening, an incident that has shaken residents of the normally quiet complex.
Welfare Check Leads to Grim Discovery
According to police, officers were called to the apartment complex after receiving a request to check on the well-being of the occupants. When officers entered the apartment, they discovered two deceased individuals inside. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the area quickly filled with law enforcement vehicles as the situation unfolded.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the individuals who were found dead. Police also have not shared details about the circumstances that led up to the deaths, stating that the investigation is still in its early stages. Officials said additional information will be released at a later time once family notifications are completed and privacy concerns are addressed.
Several neighbors reported seeing a large police presence at the complex Monday evening, including patrol cars and emergency vehicles. Travis Lundy, who lives just a few doors down and has been a resident of the apartment complex for about four years, said the scene caught him off guard.
“They knocked on my door, I came outside, there was probably about 10 cars out here and a firetruck,” Lundy said. “This is a pretty quiet neighborhood. I leave my door unlocked a couple times and I’m alright.”
Lundy’s comments reflect the general shock felt by residents, many of whom described the area as calm and rarely troubled by police activity.
Greece police emphasized that the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the community. Officers continue to gather information, interview potential witnesses, and work to determine what happened inside the apartment.
Investigators have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected, and officials have urged the public to avoid speculation while the investigation continues. Anyone who may have information related to the incident is encouraged to contact the Greece Police Department.
Police said updates will be shared as more details become available. For now, the focus remains on completing the investigation carefully and respectfully while providing answers to the families involved and reassurance to the surrounding community.
