Local leaders and West Herr auditorium partnered Monday to give out Thanksgiving dinners to 300 families in the area

Community leaders joined forces with West Herr auditorium on Monday to distribute Thanksgiving meals to 300 local families.

In this year’s effort, more than $100,000 in turkeys and 5,000 food parcels were distributed. A team of volunteers from different community groups gathered at the auditorium to organize and dispatch the meals.

Among the participating groups this year were Aenon Missionary, First Genesis, and Helping Hand Missionary Baptist churches, along with Keeler Park Apartments, Refugees Helping Refugees, and Saint Andrew’s Food Cupboard.
