No injuries reported in Rochester store shooting, suspect in custody
Rochester, New York – The Rochester Police Department (RPD) is currently investigating a concerning incident where a customer discharged a firearm at a store located on N. Goodman Street. This alarming event took place just before the evening, around 6 p.m., prompting immediate response from local law enforcement.
Upon their arrival at the scene, situated in the 1400 block of North Goodman Street, officers were briefed on the preceding events. Store employees had reportedly asked a troublesome customer to exit the premises. Following his eviction, the disgruntled individual allegedly retaliated by firing shots into the storefront before fleeing the scene on foot.
Tthe RPD confirmed that the reckless act resulted in no injuries. Law enforcement acted swiftly to address the situation, successfully locating and apprehending the suspect shortly after the incident. The quick response by the RPD ensured that the suspect was taken into custody, preventing any further threat to public safety.
