Rochester City Hall and administrative offices to close for Presidents Day observance on February 16

Rochester, New York – Residents in Rochester should be aware of several municipal office closures scheduled for Monday, Feb. 16, as the city observes Presidents Day. City officials announced that a range of administrative offices will pause operations for the federal holiday, while essential services and some community resources will continue to operate.
City Hall, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers, Rochester Animal Services, the Rochester Traffic Violations Agency, and the Honorable Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services administrative office building at 57 St. Paul St. will be closed for the day. Residents who need in-person assistance are encouraged to plan visits around the holiday closure.
Services and programs during the holiday
Although administrative offices will be closed, several city services will continue without interruption. Refuse and recycling collection will remain on its regular schedule, ensuring residents do not experience delays in waste pickup. Rochester Public Library branches will also maintain normal operating hours.
Community youth programming will still be available during the school recess period. R-Centers will be open for special hours from Tuesday, Feb. 17, through Friday, Feb. 20. A full list of participating locations and schedules is available on the city’s website.
Residents seeking assistance by phone can still contact the city. The 311 Call Center will remain open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., operating under its normal hours to answer questions and help with service requests.
Officials remind residents to take note of the holiday schedule changes while assuring that essential services and community resources will remain accessible during the observance.
