Rochester General Hospital is set to hold a full-scale decontamination exercise on Saturday
On Saturday, Rochester General Hospital is gearing up for a comprehensive decontamination drill.
Between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., RGH will collaborate closely with the Rochester Fire Department and the American Medical Response team to evaluate their preparedness for handling ‘patient decontamination, treatment, and transport during a mass casualty incident.’
Rochester General Hospital wants to reassure its patients that the presence of additional fire trucks and ambulances on the campus is part of the planned exercise. The hospital emphasizes that its regular operations will continue without disruption, and all scheduled procedures and appointments will proceed as planned.
While the Wilson Medical Building, including the Urgent Care, remains fully operational, please note that the South Entrance of the building’s parking lot will be temporarily closed and reserved for this exercise.
