Rochester resident threatened during car theft, police advise caution

Rochester, New York – In a recent incident in Rochester, a man encountered a group of suspects attempting to steal his vehicle, leading to a threatening situation and the eventual theft of the car.

Rochester Police have reported that the incident took place on Sunday at 9:37 p.m. The 24-year-old man noticed a group attempting to steal his black Hyundai four-door sedan, which was parked at the intersection of Harvard Street and Goodman Street. Despite his efforts to intervene, the suspects threatened him with weapons and proceeded to steal the vehicle. The culprits were last observed driving the stolen car toward Oxford Street.

Authorities are advising against approaching suspects in similar situations due to the danger it poses. The police are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact them by calling 911, in hopes of gathering leads that could assist in resolving the case.
