Teenager slashed a young boy with an unknown object during a heated argument on a Bronx basketball court

According to the police, a disagreement that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx over a basketball game resulted in a 12-year-old boy being slashed.

At around 3:40 p.m., the young man and the person who assaulted him got into a violent disagreement while they were playing basketball on courts located on the Bronx side of the Marble Hill Playground.

The initial investigation conducted by authorities showed that the perpetrator, who was a teenager, slashed the 12-year-old victim in the chest with an unknown item. After committing the crime, the attacker fled the scene.

The victim was transported by emergency crews to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. His condition was said to be stable.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made yet.
