Two human smuggling attempts disrupted by Texas authorities

Two human smuggling efforts were stopped by Texas authorities along the U.S. and Mexican border.

Lieutenant Chris Olivarez of the Texas Department of Public Safety tweeted on Sunday that a female driver from Mexico who is an illegal immigrant attempted to smuggle three people into the country.

Olivarez said that the vehicle’s driver was apprehended.

On Sunday, Olivarez also said that the Texas Department of Public Safety had apprehended another Guatemalan accused smuggler.

The official said that the driver was attempting to smuggle four illegal immigrants when officials chased his automobile, which crashed into a ditch after exceeding 100 mph and failing to stop at red lights.

The tweet indicates that the driver was apprehended.
