Popular Food Truck Rodeo events return to Rochester Public Market with food, music, and outdoor fun

Rochester, New York – The popular Food Truck Rodeo series is returning to the Rochester Public Market for another season of food, music, and community gatherings, with organizers preparing for crowds to once again fill the downtown area during monthly summer events.

The series takes place at the Public Market located at 280 North Union Street and features dozens of food trucks from across Rochester serving a wide variety of meals, snacks, desserts, and creative specialty dishes.

City officials said the Food Truck Rodeo combines local food vendors with live performances from regional bands to create a lively midweek event for residents and visitors alike.

The upcoming May 27 event will feature music from the local group A Girl Named Genny.

Monthly Events Scheduled Through September

The Food Truck Rodeo is held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month through September.

Organizers also released the remaining performance schedule for the season. Junk Yard Field Trip is scheduled to perform on June 24, followed by Miller & the Other Sinners on July 29. Earthtones will appear on Aug. 26, while Mr. Heartache is scheduled to close out the season on Sept. 30.

Officials said the event series continues attracting large crowds because it offers a mix of food, entertainment, and outdoor social activities in one location.

The Public Market grounds will host numerous food trucks throughout the season, giving visitors the opportunity to sample different menu items during each event.

Because attendance is expected to remain high, organizers are encouraging visitors to plan transportation ahead of time. Limited parking will be available both at the market and nearby surrounding areas.

City officials are asking attendees to consider carpooling, walking, biking, or using public transportation whenever possible to reduce congestion.

Guests are also encouraged to bring folding chairs or small folding tables because seating space on the market grounds may be limited during busy evenings.

The Food Truck Rodeo has become one of Rochester’s more popular warm-weather community events, drawing families, music fans, and food lovers from across the area.

Organizers say the event not only supports local food truck businesses and musicians, but also helps create a welcoming community atmosphere throughout the summer months.
